This Syfy Bumper was created for my Motion Techniques II class with Professor Min-ho Shin at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
The assignment was to use some art form or style to create a resolve for a product or brand identity. I chose Syfy as I love their style and look. My concept revolved around cubism mixed with modernism. The overall style that Syfy had already lent itself to a very modern style. Cubism was introduced in a more loose sense, looking at how Cubist art revolves around being deconstructed and reassembled. This interpretation was applied to the spot by physically deconstructing the logo with various colored cubes and reassembling it once more in short quick shots like the current identity does. This was my first attempt at working with Cinema 4D.
