Back in October 2012, myself and roughly 50 other motion designers collaborated with Carlo Vega to produce over a 5 minute long horror themed piece. Animated and conceptualized based on a series of pitched boards, we formed teams and went to work producing this piece in under 48 hours. The result was a piece that could be shuffled around in any order and still get across the creepy, tense mood that we were all hoping to achieve. It was then passed to a web designer to create a permanent home for the final video to shuffle each piece around to provide a new experience every time.
This is the link to the website dedicated to hosting the final result:

To the right are the design frames given to us by Carlo Vega where we had to interpret them as best as possible into animations. For my teams particular piece, the background was created by myself and Jeff O’neal going out and filming a boiling pot of diced beef and the local Thunderbird Motel to get that desert horror vibe. Through many adjustment layers, grunge effects, and film grain, it was composited together to create the backdrop. All the stringy blood and muscle animation was done frame by frame by Sam Scott and myself as well as the glitching film effects. All other animations were created and given to me by the rest of my teammates.
