This Humane Society PSA was created as part of my BFA in Motion Media Design.
Looking through various Humane Society PSA ads and ads of similar content, there is one major
common theme present : Playing off of sadness and depressing statistics. For this particular PSA ad, I felt it necessary to take it a different route.
Happiness overwhelmingly triumphs over sadness in terms of a positive emotional response from
desired audiences. With that in mind, applying that to a Humane Society ad seems the most logical route. Taking facts and statistics that are otherwise depressing, and finding the positive points that relate to them will help to channel this positive reception of the viewer.
